Antonia Sturm

About
I’m Antonia, a creative, motion designer and illustrator.
I love getting lost in the world around me. My outgoing nature allows me to find inspiration almost anywhere. Everything is constantly moving and I’m always finding new projects to inspire other people and allow them to enjoy the nostalgic lens through which i view the world. Though I work with all sorts of techniques, it’s frame-by-frame animation that stole my heart. It might be time-consuming, to say the least, but it’s also my favorite way to experiment with different techniques constantly.

ARP
Arp is currently taking shape as part of my latest independent animation project. I’ve teamed up with the artists pasta p.a.t., schnedders, velocityboyz to create a vibrant music video for their song ‚Arp.‘ The animation process involves a fusion of frame-by-frame, 2D rigging, and After Effects techniques. The anticipated duration for this video is 2 minutes and 45 seconds.
This video delves into the realms of daydreaming, encouraging the embrace of the unknown with a fearless and curious spirit. Stay tuned for the finished animation.

Bleep Bloop
Bleep Bloop came to life within the framework of an animation course. I chose Poppy’s track ‚Bleep Bloop‘ as the soundtrack for this creative project since Poppy herself has long been a huge inspiration for me. With the song lacking an official music video, I took the initiative to animate one myself. Using a blend of After Effects and frame-by-frame animation, the project unfolded.
Working on a music video was new to me, so it made me learn many new skills, but monst importantly I realised enjoy working on these kinds of projects a lot.
Experimental Short FIlm
Filmed on Tape, Script Wirting, Type Animation, Datamoshing, Post-Production, Concept Creation, Storyboarding, Cinematography
zivilisiert
Zivilisiert is a short film exploring the fractured yet essential connection between humans and nature. Many of us are familiar with the comforting feeling nature provides, but as swiftly as we embrace that euphoria of being closer to our roots, we forget it. It’s crucial to acknowledge that staying connected with nature is a need we must consistently fulfill.
The experimental short film was captured on real tape, with the intentional use of datamoshing enhancing the already grainy aesthetic of tape. This technique serves to highlight the continuous absurdity of getting lost in thoughts about nature.
zine
Kinetic Type, Layout, 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Photo-Editing, Frame-by-Frame, Multimedia Design, Texturing
Wege
This digital zine explores the concept of paths and the emotions associated with our journeys. It centers around the realization that the time it takes to reach a destination is essential for preparing the mind, rather than being a mere hurdle to overcome. The zine was written in German and incorporated interactive elements, allowing text to dynamically appear on the pages.
einerseits magazin
Since the beginning of 2023, I have been volunteering as part of the Einerseits Magazine team. My areas of expertise there include Motion Design and Illustration.
I create motion assets, work on all layout/editorial issues they get and make various illustrations for the print edition and instagram posts.
